Judy Wright has lived in Clinton County since she was born and she currently lives on the Wright family farm in Turney.  Judy attended public schools in Lathrop. Her father was the superintendent of schools and her mother was a Licensed Practical Nurse. Judy and her late husband of 44 years, Delbert, built strong ties to the Clinton county community.  Delbert worked for Ford Motor Company as an electrician for 42 years. They have three children, Julie, Joni and Jeff, who all attended Clinton County public schools, and eleven grandchildren.

Judy attended college in Warrensburg at the University of Central Missouri. Judy and her family have soy beans and corn growing on their farm. Until recently retiring, Judy served as the Deputy Treasurer of Clinton County and was previously a small business owner.

Judy has always been an active member of her community. She has been a long time member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She is also a member of the Christian Women’s Fellowship, and is the current President of the North West area.  Judy has been a long time member of the Christian Church in Lathrop, and has served her church in the past as Chairman of the board.  She is currently serving as an elder.

Judy was inspired to run for office because she saw the need for a positive advocate for the citizens of Clinton, DeKalb, and Gentry counties. Judy wants to expand upon her life-long commitment to her community to become a new voice in Jefferson City.   As a full time mother, Judy envisions more quality opportunities for the upcoming generations of families and believes Missouri’s 5th District holds many economic possibilities that need to be expounded.
